  • DeaFFF NW is 5-a-side football for deaf players aged 8-16 years.

  • Each team covers a 4 year age bracket and either plays at U12 or U16 level (Disability rules).

  • Teams are mixed gender as we have received FA special dispensation to provide mixed football up to 16 yrs of age.

  • Teams may have hearing players alongside deaf players, but the majority of the team should be deaf -please see the full rules for details.

  • We try to play a minimum of 3 matches per session per team.

  • We rotate around different venues in the North West so that, if transport is an issue, different groups and individuals can access the sessions nearest to them.

  • Each session will have at least one BSL interpreter for communication support.

  • We are speaking with Deaf organisations such as GB Deaf Football and UK Deaf Sport,  to provide deaf role model support at some of the events to inspire future deaf sportsmen and women.

  • DeaFFF NW wants to ensure that parents and players are aware of the possible pathways available to them, and how to access them, if they are interested.

DeaFFF NW allows young deaf people the chance to play competitive football with other deaf peers and meet deaf role models to inspire them.
